Jello Easter Eggs

Another fun craft for your kiddos!
I kept my 5 year old busy washing the
plastic eggs while my older child made the jello.

Make sure to find eggs that do NOT have the tiny air holes in them and don't forget to spray the insides of your eggs with a bit of pan spray. I sprayed one (forgot the rest, oops) so my kids just used a spoon to dig out their jello, which was still a dessert delight!

My eight year old came to the rescue while I was standing in the kitchen wondering just how I was going to get the liquid jello into the eggs..."Mommy just dunk them in the jello bowl!"...total preggo brain fart moment on my part, haha!

So, red fingers later - they washed everyone, no worries - and we had a carton of jello eggs ready to set up in the fridge.

Egg Cut-Out Cookies

Don't have an egg shaped cookie cutter??? No problem, just use 1/2 of a clean plastic egg!

We whipped up a batch of sugar cookies and of course as I was boiling the eggs, I realized we needed just one NON boiled egg for the cookies, oops! So, I sent my daughter out in the snow to our neighbors house.

I rolled the dough on a piece of wax paper which was much easier to remove by hand then squish with my spatula, so the cookies kept their shape. The extra dough was rolled and shaped into a big bunny head, which my kids though was pretty funny.

Mama frosted a few, the babe of the bunch frosted and ate his cookies and then the two older kids frosted the rest, I let them have fun and the table (and floor) was covered in frosting, sprinkles & beads - oh joy - but a happy mess indeed!

Happy cookie making y'all!

Easter Egg Painted Garland

This Easter egg garland was a fun project for my three chickens
to make while we waited for the eggs to boil...

I used my Sizzix Oval XL die and cut several multicolored ovals.
QTips work well for little hands and are easy peasy to toss after painting!
We let our eggs dry, then cut two holes in them and strung on a piece of twine.
A masterpiece indeed, my 2-1/2 yr. old loves pointing out the ones he did!

Washi Tape Make Up Brush Holder

Washi Tape Make-Up Brush Holder - LeroyLime

I'm not quite sure how many Washi Tape projects I'm aiming for but I started numbering them and here's number 4! I've been wanting to do this for quite some time and have had this glass vase sitting on the counter in my bathroom where it's been holding my brushes, inside their roll-up travel case.

I started with a clean vase, you can use any shape or size but something with a wide mouth would work best, depending on your brush collection. After picked my Washi Tape colors, I started wrapping the vase and then picked out this fun European stamp set.

I heat embossed the stamped images and then hand cut them out before coloring. I'm a Copic Marker nut, the markers blend so well and show no lines, which always gives great results. I've a wee collection that I stash high on my shelves away from little hands!

I decided NOT to use the Paris or Italia phrase but saved them for another rainy day project or card. After placing my coat of arms and London England stamp where I wanted them, I filled the vase with white beans and newly cleaned make up brushes.

How do you organize your make up brushes or make up?
Link up your creations or share in the comments!

-Top projects will be featured and pinned
- Please note that by linking up your posts and projects you are giving
LeroyLime permission to use your photos in featured posts and
social media outlets. All photos will be linked back to your sites
and posts

Washi Tape Diaper Cake

I'm back with another Washi Tape project, coming soon to my Etsy shop...diapers cakes! I made this one for a dear friend who's having a Circus Themed Baby Shower (on my Birthday, I might add). I added a bit of Circus flair with none other than, tada..Washi Tape!..around the centers of each cake tier.
Cute eh?! I made sure the Washi wouldn't come undone at each end by adding a tiny piece of double sided boloney tape, which holds uber strong.

If you haven't gotten on the Washi Tape bandwagon yet, DowntownTape is a great place to start, you can buy a few rolls without breaking the bank!

Vintage Horse Themed Birthday Party

I still can't believe my first born babe is now 8!
She's infatuated with anything that has to do with horses, so after she helped me pick out the color scheme, I got to work on the invites and everything else fell into place.

A simple invite tied with thick rope twine. I attached
our address label to the backs to let the party girls know where the
sleepover was being held.
The Birthday Girl posing in her PINK cowgirl hat.

I wrapped the two wine pictures we had hanging above the sidebar
in the kitchen to make for a rustic backdrop and to help the color
scheme flow.
close up of the party invitations
cupcakes for her school classroom

The party girls enjoyed painting their own shirts, cowgirl style...and then a simple peel and stick horse themed craft of bookmarks and a foam boot before pizza dinner, cake and ice cream.

Then popcorn, movies and sleeping bags in the living room and waking up to chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, a great party indeed!
Pink streamers and a few balloons made for an inexpensive but
impressive backdrop behind the kitchen table.

A roll of wrapping paper was the perfect table runner with stamped
horseshoes, punched out with pink hearts.

And treat bag thank you's for the party girls, some rope Twizzlers
with a message from the Birthday Girl.

"Thanks for coming to my party, I hope you had a ropin' good time"

 What's your favorite party theme??
I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I enjoyed putting it all together!
