As promised, here is my curbside find makeover. Hauled all the way from RI to ND, this beauty had been sitting in our old basement just WAITING for a new coat and a little bit of love. Now that we have a garage again and are in dire need of a few surfaces to hold our living room lamps so that we don't have to be blinded by the overhead flickering halogens, yuck! I pulled her from my 'stash' (yes, I have a small collection) and got to work.
cause I'm impatient and just wanted to slap some paint on...
I was tempted to leave it alone at this point BUT wanted to
see if my vision for this piece could come to life!
Mind you, this is my first furniture redo DIY project, lessons learned (steel wool sucks, sand paper is MUCH better) but I pressed on and am very happy with the result, now to find a basket to fit where there used to be a drawer...I'm thinking a trip to Hobby Lobby is in order.

Love this! I'm always rescuing stuff off the curb too. My husband hates me for filling up the garage with my rescues. Haha

That's so cute! Stopping by from the blog hop. I wish I had upcycling chops like that. I just don't have the imagination in that aspect. I'm more of a characters, twists, and plot kind of imaginer ;). I really admire those skills though!
